Barley Water

Steps

  1. Pick out any pebbles and soak barley overnight.
  2. Add Barley to large pot with tight fitting lid. Add the water.
  3. Cover pot and cook for 30 to 35 minutes.
  4. Let cool enough to handle, then strain the grains out using a mesh strainer.
  5. Lightly press the grains in the strainer to extract as much water as you can.
  6. Add lemon juice and sugar to taste, garnish with mint.
  7. Refrigerate any leftovers for a day only.
