Dutch Oven Roasted Chicken
Ingredients
- Whole Chicken
- Apple, Pear, or Onion
- Fresh Herbs
- Olive or Avocado Oil
- Salt, Pepper, Spices to taste
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425F
- Lightly coat bottom and sides of dutch oven with oil
- Coat chicken with Salt/Pepper/Spices
- Cut Apple/Pear/Onion into wedges and stuff into chicken, along with herbs
- Cook for 1 hour with lid on
- Remove lid and continue cooking for 15-20 minutes to brown the skin
Notes
- You can stuff the bird with pretty much any vegetable or fruit. This is to keep it from drying out.
