Sautéed Kale
Ingredients
- Chopped Kale
- Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- 1/4 cup (roughly) Water or Broth
- (Optional) Other spices, like Cumin, Ground Mustard, or a Cajun Spice mix
Steps
- Drizzle oil into preheated frying pan (Medium High)
- Fill pan with Kale (it will shrink a lot)
- Sprinkle all seasonings on top
- Add water/broth and immediately cover
- Let Kale cook down to about a third of original size (about 5-10 minutes)
- Remove lid and toss to fully mix in seasonings
Notes
- We toss in the seasonings at the end because it’s MUCH easier to do once the Kale has shrunk down.
- The water/broth is only there to create steam. You don’t need a lot, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a cup
